It was our anniversary: the day on which years ago my husband and I started our relationship. It was a beautiful, summer day and with our baby daughter we set off to a place which holds special meaning for us both: to valley of Voje in a beautiful Slovene town Bohinj among the Alps.

On the way there we kept joking and giving each other meaningful looks, talking about how we would find a hidden spot in nature where we can (finally!) dedicate to each other passionately. Couples with small kids are chronically lacking such moments nowadays.

voje_bohinjEverything was going well, the valley was still wonderful, but my old hiking boots (which I had been using for quite some time!) suddenly started pinching me. I had to take them off and continue walking barefoot. At first I did not like that, but then I remembered all the talks about year 2012, year of transition, important year in Earth’s evolution. How crucial it is to tune yourself with the planet, to feel its vibration. Many believe that Earth’s magnetic poles are changing.

»Ah well, I have been given a unique opportunity to connect to planet Earth through my bare feet!« I thought with a smile. It started as a joke, but then the road started getting more and more pleasant. Soft, grassy, with patches of warm, smooth soil caressing my feet. Each step was more enchanting until at one point I stopped, closed my eyes and started absorbing softness of soil beneath my feet, warm sunlight, I started smelling freshness of the wind…I started feeling peace and serenity.

Meanwhile, my darling found a private spot in nature and was waving his hands for me to come there. Baby fell asleep in her pram, we put a blanket on the floor next to a stream. I lay on the floor, closed my eyes smelling fresh air and…fell asleep like a baby! There I was, lying on warm soil, experiencing renewable slumber of Sleeping Beauty. When I woke up, I thougth happy: »That was it! This was connection with beautiful vibration of planet Earth!«

And then I caught a glimpse of my husband’s sulking, long face. Oh my! He wouldn’t speak to me allmost the whole way back. I tried to sort it out somehow, I understood him and his reaction, but hey, this was about planet Earth!

I tuned myself with the planet, but detuned myself with my husband. Ah well, we cannot have it all! Luckily I have an understanding husband who doesn’t sulk for long. I am grateful for it!
