THE GREAT SERPENT AND THE WEB OF LIFE
1 Week Shamanic Workshop At The Seaside With Nagual Uchu
Also this year we are traditionally closing the season with a one week shamanic workshop at the seaside. You are kindly invited to spend a week with us in the beautiful, immaculate nature of a Croatian island called Lošinj. We will learn and practice ancient wisdom and techniques of shamanism with a master from Latin America – nagual Uchu.
Shamanism is the oldest spiritual heritage known to mankind. It is being practiced all over the world and it is over 60 000 years old, more accurate number would be over 100 000 years old. It teaches us that everything is connected, alive and has a spirit. We are part of Mother Nature, not standing over and above it. We are all connected in the great web of life physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
Shaman Uchu will dedicate this week to the teachings of the great serpent which is a map of ourselves, of many levels of our being, to shamanic journeys, to ceremonies (offering to the spirit of the sea, drumming and fire ceremony) and more.
Read more about the program below.
We will be implementing advanced techniques. The course is suitable for both: those who have already worked with Uchu and those who haven’t. This is not a beginner level workshop, therefore it is recommendable you have worked with energies before in whatever form. No previous knowledge of shamanism is required.

WHO?
Nagual Uchu comes from Latin America. He learned and practiced shamanism mostly in Mexico, Peru and Brazil where he lived with the Indians. He was once part of Carlos Castaneda’s circle and worked closely with Merilyn Tunneshende (the nagual Woman from don Juan’s circle). He spent years travelling all around the world, living in India and among African and Siberian shamans, gaining rich experience in working with energies.
He combined and integrated ancient knowledge and techniques into Urban-Modern Shamanism which is applicable in 21st century in our everyday lives. For more than 20 years Uchu has been teaching and coaching ancient shamanic techniques all over the world. He is currently active in Europe.
The Great Serpent
In shamanism the Serpent is a map of ourselves. Each segment of the Serpent represents an aspect of being. The bottom four levels correspond to the four “Kingdoms of Life” (mineral, vegetal, animal, and human kingdom). The upper levels represent the soul and the divine. We will journey every day to experience these levels (aspects) of ourselves, of our being.
Shamanic Journeys
Shamanic journeys are considered the primary method used to access the other worlds where the spirit helpers and guidance are found. They are used for many purposes, mainly for healing – healing in the widest, holistic sense of the word.
Journeying is a powerful meditative state. It takes us into altered states of consciousness that help us work more deeply with intuitive and spiritual guidance. Shamanic drumming is used to assist the process.
Shamanic journeys may expand your awareness rapidly, and may be the source of energy, creativity, inspiration, passion, love and personal power fueling us for our everyday lives here.
A shamanic practitioner is an explorer of doorways – doorways from ordinary reality into non-ordinary reality, portals leading from the physical world into the spiritual world. What makes a shamanic practitioner different from other mystics and visionaries is the ‘intentional’ journey – or soul flight- into the spirit world walking the so called »Blue road«.
The Blue road is the road of moving from the now and physicality to the timeless and transcendental.
In the Blue road the shamanic practitioner meets with elemental aspects of the Self, which are seen as guides with great wisdom and power.
You do not have to have any special skills or attributes to conduct a journey. This process is not reserved for a select few “chosen” individuals! Some may find it challenging at first, but most will be able to master this relatively simple process in the first few attempts. Journeying is often done in light trance, lying down, with the eyes closed. Shamanic drumming assists the process.
Nagual Uchu will take you to guided shamanic journeys to access guidance, wisdom, parallel realities and parts of your consciousness you usually do not have access to.
Ceremony: Offering to the Spirit of the Sea
We will create an offering to the spirit of the sea together and ceremonially give it to the sea in the form of flower mandalas.
Fire Ceremony
Throughout human history the element of fire has always had special meaning for people of our planet. The fire represents the Sun, in Andean culture the »father Sun« is known as Taita Inti. He is the male balance to the female energies of the universe, and he represents the ability to create life, to create the new, to transform the old that no longer serves us.
Together we will gather around a fire on the beach. Fire allows for rapid transformation. We can let go of our old stories, lessons and dramas that do not serve us anymore and give them to the Fire – to the Great Spirit. It will transform them and offer healing, renewal and symbolic rebirth.
Uchu will also teach you:
– Exercises for stoping the inner dialogue
– Shamanic divination
– How to make your own shamanic oils for different purposes such as protection, for cleansing space, for good luck…
In the evenings we will spend time together, talk, drum and enjoy life in a circle of friends.
Program is not fixed. Uchu reads the energies of the group and adapts to the moment and to the needs of the group.
