“Shadow Work – Face Your Darker Self”
WEEKEND RETREAT WITH NAGUAL UCHU
Warm weather is here and we have prepared a special shamanic weekend retreat in nature for you. Intense program, diving deep into your psyche, working with your shadow, fire ceremony and deep transformative inner work. We will spend two days in nature in a peaceful estate which is located in beautiful Slovene region of Prekmurje.
Nagual Uchu will dedicate this retreat to facing our inner darkness. So called “shadow work” has always been a crucial part of shamanic cultures and practice. Facing and understanding your “dark side” (hidden aspects) accelerates your healing and awakening, it expands your awareness, making you whole, balanced and able to claim your personal power back. The term refers to the parts of us that we would rather hide, suppress, pretend that they do not exist as we (our mind) judge them as unpleasant, ugly, or undesired in any way.
When we ignore our shadow, it influences us from a subconscious level, making us live our life unaware and from a place of imbalance. Facing our darkness (hidden aspects), bringing them to light and understanding, allows us to live from a place of balance, personal power and wholeness. Through integration we become a conscious co-creator of our experience of life. Through integration we get to know ourselves.
Getting to know your shadow you will realize it is not to be feared, only to be understood. There is nothing more rewarding than getting to know yourself a little better. We will create a safe environment and support for you to embark onto this intense journey inwards. You will stop judging aspects of yourself as ugly or undesirable putting them on their rightful place in your complex psyche.

WHO:
Nagual Uchu comes from Latin America. He learned and practiced shamanism mostly in Mexico, Peru and Brazil. He was also active in Argentina, where he was a part of Carlos Castaneda’s circle and he worked closely with Merilyn Tunneshende (the Nagual Woman from Don Juan’s circle).They offered him to train his own group of shamanic practitioners, however he decided to spend 15 years travelling all around the world, living in India, among African and Siberian shamans, gaining rich experience in working with energies.
He combined and integrated ancient knowledge, techniques and his experience into Urban-Modern Shamanism which is applicable in 21st century in our everyday lives. For the last 2 decades Uchu has been teaching and coaching ancient shamanic techniques adapted to modern life all over the world. He is currently teaching in Europe and regularly visits Indian tribes in Latin America.
PROGRAM:
Uchu will explain what our hidden aspects are, about our belief systems and mind programming, about how to address our “dark side”, how to face these aspects of self and deal with them. He will present techniques and exercises on how to deal with your own shadow and how to own it. You will have the time then to do your work according to these traditional shamanic techniques.
Owning our shadow instead of denying it is absolutely crucial and necessary for a fulfilling, happy life and the evolution of mankind. Only through facing our shadow (not just focusing on the light), only through integrating polarities inside us we can become whole as a human being.
Our shadows exist to teach us and to guide us. It holds the essence of who we are. It holds our most treasured gifts. Do not be afraid to face it. It is there in you already. When you ignore it, it runs the show. When you integrate it, it makes you whole.
Shadow work is about owning your shadow instead of denying it. The shadow feeds from denial. We keep burying so called unpleasant aspects of ourselves, our wounds, until they release themselves as destructive unconscious reactions creating problems in our life.

Fire Ceremony:Throughout human history the element of fire has always had special meaning for people of our planet. The fire represents the Sun, in Andean culture the »father Sun« is known as Taita Inti. He is the male balance to the female energies of the universe, and he represents the ability to create life, to create the new, to transform the old that no longer serves us.
Together we will gather around a fire in nature. Fire allows for rapid transformation. We can let go of our old stories, lessons and dramas that do not serve us anymore and give them to the Fire – to the Great Spirit. It will transform them and offer healing, renewal and symbolic rebirth. Live drumming will assist the process. You are welcome to bring your own drums if you feel like joining in.

NOTE: Nagual Uchu does not follow a fixed program. He sees and reads the energy of the group and of the individuals and adapts the program according to the group’s best interest.

PRICE AND ACCOMODATION:
We will be staying in beautiful rooms for 2 to 4 people. Each room has its own bathroom. Additional to that we offer a cosy common room for up to 9 people to stay in. The common room has 2 toilets and 2 bathrooms, you need to bring your own mats and sleeping bags.

- FOOD: 4 vegetarian meals (home cooked, organic food): lunch and dinner on Saturday, breakfast and lunch on Sunday. Only vegetarian or vegan food is served.
