I can smell autumn dancing in the breeze. The sweet chill of pumpkin, and crisp sunburnt leaves.” (Ann Drake)

Dear women!

It is my heartfelt pleasure to announce our two autumn women’s cacao ceremonies.

First ceremony will happen on October 5th in Ljubljana. We will dance with the archetype of our inner saboteur with loving support of cacao plant teacher. You will find more information below.

Second ceremony will happen on October 13th in Lavrica (near Ljubljana). We will do a guided shamanic journey with cacao. You will find more information here:

Our encounters have brought us many insights, joys and wonderful heartfelt journeys with the goddess Ixcacao. In ceremonies we journey with cacao master plant teacher – dedicating our journeys to our four main personal survival archetypes. Please book your place for each event independently. There is no obligation to attend all four women’s circles in 2019. The number of places is limited so I can devote my attention to each participant and monitor their process during the shamanic journey.

Women’s Circle

The purpose of the women’s circle is to create a safe, sacred space in which you can hear yourself, your true inner motives and desires. Through the journey with cacao and sound you will experience loving, friendly support and receive spiritual guidance. You can also set a specific intent for the ceremony.

Cacao Plant Medicine

Cacao is a loving, gentle plant teacher who can take us to the immense depths of ourselves. In shamanism it is known as “The Heart Opener” and “Consciousness Awakener”. Cacao is one of the so called master plant teachers in shamanism – they are plants who are assisting in conscious evolution of humans. During the ceremony I (Tadeja) provide a sacred space for her to work with you and for you to do your work with her – the process goes both ways. You do your shamanic journeys and experience her wisdom, while I hold sacred space and keep an eye on you.

Psyche And Archetypes

Imagine human psyche as a wonderful, colourful microcosmos, where the principle “As above so below” applies. You hold a whole universe inside you. Cacao journeys unveil a new piece of your inner territory every time, so that gradually you can draw a map of yourself. We are aware of a very small part – the conscious part represents only about 10% of the human psyche. The most rewarding journeys are those through which we come to know our depths and our beautifully complex nature that this society, in which we live, has repressed so much. “Know yourself and you will know the whole creation!” was taught in practically every ancient school of mysteries and wisdom.

Saboteur

We will dedicate autumn ceremony to the archetype of the inner saboteur. As is the case with all archetypes, the inner saboteur is in itself a neutral energy that is presented every time we have to make a decision, a choice or are faced with discord and conflict. Because it usually operates out of our unconscious, it can consistently undermine our pursuit of happiness and success. It tempts us to reject opportunities. He always tests our courage. The lesson of the saboteur: he is the guardian of choice. The main challenge: fear of change. How many times do you happily accept the opportunities being offered to you? How many times does your fear keep you in the old toxic situations? How many times have you found every possible and impossible excuse for your inaction? Talk to your saboteur. Through working with him, he will become your strong ally. Once you are aware of him, he will make you alert and aware of the important opportunities and grant you courage needed to make optimal decisions.

Autumn and Capricorn Moon

Autumn represents a time of abundance, a time of harvesting and storing crops, a time when nature is preparing for hibernation. We are happy to evaluate the fruits of our past work, to create a warm shelter (hearth), and to prepare ourselves for journey inwards that winter brings. We are creating our own safe space. Autumn represents a time of comfort, self-protection and balance – the day and night being in balance throughout this time of year.

A moon in Capricorn is a very powerful and often misunderstood teacher. Capricorn and its ruler Saturn are depicted as stern, old, harsh tutors. Saturn teaches us about limitations, discipline, self-discipline, karma, past, time, he teaches through pressures which create diamonds. We are asked to take responsibility for our lives. Even though Saturn is often mentioned as the ruler of the past, he is actually teaching us how to value the present moment. For example: if you have been putting off a well needed rest for too long, Saturn will literally make you stay in bed and regenerate – you will get ill and will be forced to rest. However, if you know how to listen to his teachings, you will benefit a great deal. Saturn also teaches us about the importance of maintaining personal boundaries: it is one of the most beautiful planets in the galaxy, but its colourful rings are made of ice. It teaches you how to balance your personal boundaries: where you do not respect them, and in which cases you have surrounded yourself with too many defence walls.

WHO

Tadeja Škorja: I am passionate about everything that helps me know myself and the world around me better. The more I learn, the more I am aware those two are not two separate things. Many of you know me as Nagual Uchu’s “right hand”. Uchu is a shaman from Latin America. Seven years of working and travelling with him have given me many things and experience for which I am deeply grateful.

Uchu introduced me to cacao. We held ceremonies together. Later on I met a shaman from the United Kingdom, Rebekah Shaman, who is one of the most known cacao shamans in Europe. I had the honour of training with her in one of her wonderful “Cacaoista retreats” where we worked with the plant deeply and intensely in a circle of women. It was a profound, life-changing experience. The connection I made with the plant captured my heart. The spirit of the plant, goddess Ixcacao, surprised me with her depths, wisdom and nurturing nature. She touched my heart like a true “Heart Opener” (the plant’s nickname in shamanic circles). I felt how important it is for women to offer safe spaces and gatherings to each other, where they can relax and just be who they truly are.

Ph.D. Albinca Pesek: Albinca is a musician, music teacher, professor, author of primary school textbooks for music, skilled sound and dance therapist, and above all my dear friend. She devoted her life to her love of music which is felt all her work. She will pamper us with a sound bath to prepare us for the ceremony.

Jelena Oleami: The cacao dance journey will be guided by an experienced, sensitive, sensual dancer Jelena Oleami who has many years of experience in the field of movement and dance. She is a choreographer, educator and head of the Plesonoga Dance Society. She has been working lovingly with the cacao plant teacher for many years.

PROGRAM

Cacao Ceremony

An indigenous Mayan legend tells us whenever the balance between humans and nature becomes threatened, (ceremonial) cacao comes from the rainforest to open people’s hearts and return the planet to a state of harmony.

Ceremonial cacao was traditionally used by the Ancient Mayan Shamans to travel between the worlds. For them the Cacao Spirit was one of the most powerful deities. We will drink organic, raw, ceremonial grade cacao from the Ashaninka tribes of Peru. Ceremonial cacao leads you to the door to the heart, to the spiritual dimension, but it does not push you through like other plants. Ceremonial cacao gently invites you on a journey, to travel with the chocolate spirit through the veil if you choose to.

With over 1200 chemical constituents, the beans from Theobroma Cacao (translating from the greek: theo – meaning god and broma – meaning food), appear to be the most pharmacologically complex food in nature. Certain active ingredients help release ‘feel good’ emotions, therefore cacao is considered a heart opener that paves the way to transformation through self-love. It triggers release of dopamine, the ‘pleasure’ hormone. Through cacao you access the subconscious to reveal and heal the deepest aspects of yourself. It helps you to remove blockages in all areas of your life: relationships, career, personal growth, creativity, or wherever your focus is. Ultimately, cacao expands your capacity to love and be loved.

You may prepare questions or intent for your ceremony. Ixcacao may not take you where you expect her to take you. But you can be sure she will take you where you need to go. Allow yourself to be surprised!

Human Psyche and Archetypes

Archetypes are the forces that work in our psyche. Although we are all submerged (up to a certain degree) into the collective unconscious, each and every one of us has a unique personal archetypal map. By knowing and understanding your archetypes you can activate your best potentials and radically change your life in the desired direction.

Everybody has four basic archetypes of survival (symbols representing a certain type of energy). For the purpose of my work I will use the expressions of Caroline Myss, the author whom I respect deeply. Her works helped me a lot to steer my life into the desired direction. These archetypes live and work in each of us:

  • Inner child          (spring women’s circle)
  • Victim                  (summer women’s circle)
  • Saboteur            (autumn women’s circle)
  • Prostitute           (winter women’s circle): Let me mention that the archetype of a prostitute rarely applies to literal physical prostitution. This archetype is active in all areas of our lives, whenever we bargain in the sense “I give you this in return for that”.

Saboteur

Jelena’s message about dancing with your inner saboteur:

“This time our journey with cacao is dance. Goddess Ixcacao, the spirit of the plant, will lead us to our inner saboteur, who blocks us in life and doesn’t let us move forward. When we meet him, we usually freeze unable to take very much needed decisions. Through dancing, we will put intention into our bodies, focus our energy on movement and flow, which will allow us to remember our “inner fire”, the force that drives us forward in our lives. The Goddess Ixcacao will help us to open up and communicate with our inner saboteur. We will breathe movement, rocking, spinning, swaying, and everything necessary for our life path to be clarified and purified into our moments of helplessness, blockages, fear and into everything that hinders us. We will dance to connect spiritually with the physical, thus grounding all the messages and wisdom we receive. Through movement, we will raise our awareness of all the choices we have, clarity of purpose and gather courage and dance with our inner saboteur. All this under the safe and loving guidance of Goddess Ixcacao, who will connect us.

We are divine spark embodied in the physical body. Let’s remember…”

Sound Bath

The sound of Himalayan and crystal bowls will prepare us for the ceremony and enable us to understand and integrate its messages better. During the sound bath with Albinca you will harmonize your energies, your mind, body and spirit.

Closing

We will close the ceremony with a talk, integration of experiences and socializing.

Journeying with cacao may trigger deep emotional processes, so try to spend the rest of the evening calmly, quietly and without stress.

A Note: Cacao is safe to ingest, however there are certain medical conditions where we need to adjust the dose. If you have heart conditions, take antidepressants or are pregnant, please let us know. If you have epilepsy, unfortunately we cannot invite you to cacao ceremony for your own safety. More details will be provided when you apply.
